We’re out to a number of film festivals and waiting to hear if we’ve been accepted. Fingers crossed!
We’re also putting together benefit screenings of JAZZ NIGHTS: A CONFIDENTIAL JOURNEY with Q&A’s with the director and some of the musicians, as well as a set of live music. All proceeds go toward the funds we’re racing to raise to get the song licenses we need to show our film at festivals. Though most publishing companies have been terrific and are working with us to offer lower-than-usual rates, it is still an expensive proposition and will costs us upwards of $12,000 for festival screening rights, and another $13,000 for Streaming rights so that JAZZ NIGHTS can be made publicly available after our festival run has been completed.
